For this project, it wasn’t just a matter of refreshing the look of Amazon, but rather to make it easier to use, especially for the target Flat Agers demographic. The research that helped to define the overall look and function, resulted in findings that showed them to be very similar to Millennials. They are avid users of social media, current technology as well as being appreciative of clean, modern aesthetics.

Adding the chatbot only seemed right. Imagine asking exactly what’s on your mind to find the best possible products. Recreating a conversation with a store employee on demand brings a little real-world experience that many Flat Agers have become accustomed to throughout their lives.
With our built in bot, Alex, he gets to know what you are into and reduces a lot of the clutter you most likely will never look at. This organises user’s interests into customised “mini-stores”. The app intelligently monitors your previous searches and updates your stores, automatically bringing you new and exciting products that you will love.
Clean and aesthetically pleasing was the mindset when jumping into the redesign. Incorporating an easier to view and read product screen as well as removing the clutter was a must.
